OPP seeking possible impaired driver who took off on foot into Iroquois bush

IROQUOIS — Shortly after 8:20 p.m., on Jan. 13, Grenville OPP responded to a traffic complaint of a possible impaired driver travelling on Highway 401 eastbound.

The driver was intercepted close to Iroquois however the driver fled on foot into the nearby bush. Members from the Emergency Response Team (ERT) and Canine Unit were deployed with negative result. Further investigation revealed that the vehicle had been stolen from the Peel Region.

The person is described as:

  • Male
  • Dark brown or black short hair
  • Wearing a grey t-shirt and dark coloured pants.
