EASTERN ONTARIO — The Upper Canada District School Board announced on its website tonight that buses won’t run again tomorrow, Tues., Jan. 22, as a bitter cold weather system continues to have the region in its grip.
The UCDSB relayed news around 9;30 p.m., even ahead of Student Transportation of Eastern Ontario, the entity responsible for busing on behalf of the public board and its separate counterpart, the Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario. STEO acknowledged the cancellation about 10 minutes after the UCDSB.
It will be the second consecutive bus cancellation day attributed solely to the cold. But schools will be open tomorrow, Jan. 22, just as they were today.
