Teams from Winchester Curling Club come out on top at all three weekend bonspiels

WINCHESTER — This past weekend three teams from the Winchester Curling Club competing and winning a few local bonspiels.
The annual Broder Cup was hosted by the Metcalfe Curling Club on Saturday. This was the 70th year that the bonspiel has taken place.
The Broder cup is the Women’s event where each club (Russell, Winchester, Metcalfe, and Morrisburg) sends 2 teams to compete.
Winning the “A” division were the ladies from the Winchester Curling Club.

The Morrisburg Curling Club also hosted a bonspiel which had both a “Little Rocks” division for curlers under 12 and a U16 division for bantam curlers under 16 years of age.

The U16 division final saw an exciting game between the North Grenville Curling Club and the Winchester Curling Club. After the last stone came to rest, the Winchester team came out on top.
