CHESTERVILLE — The Chesterville Farmers’ Market will return in 2019.

The 16-year-old market’s future had been cast in doubt last November when longtime president and prime mover for the organization, Cheryl Beasley, announced her departure from the leadership position. At the time, Beasely explained she was stepping away because her plate was full with other recent pursuits — most notably a partnership in Winchester’s Simply Baked business, recently celebrating its first anniversary, and involvement with Chesterville’s Art on the Waterfront committee. She invited others to take on the task of running the Market, which operates on the Chesterville waterfront.

And in a Facebook post today, the Market — which hosted a special meeting at McCloskey’s earlier this week — announced that two individuals have come forward to do exactly that.  Beasley’s successors, Monique Morris and Courtney Heeney, are “excited to be heading up the market with a devoted committee full of fresh ideas and cannot wait to show you what’s in store!” the organization declared.
