Ottawa Police score $140 worth of cocaine after undercover operation

OTTAWA — A 47-year-old male was arrested for trafficking $140 worth of cocaine and $1080 worth of Fentanyl after undercover operation by members of the Ottawa Police Drug Unit and Street Crime Team, on Jan. 28.

The operation was conducted on McArthur Rd. where the purchases of purple Fentanyl and cocaine were made.

The approximate street value of the seized Fentanyl is $1,080.00 and the cocaine is $140.00.

Robert Gallant, 47, of Ottawa, was charged with:

  •      Two counts of  Trafficking in a schedule I substance
  •      Two counts of Trafficking by offer in a schedule I substance x2
  •      Possession for the purpose of trafficking a schedule I substance
  •      Possession of proceeds of crime
  •      Breach of recognizance

Gallant was scheduled to appear in court yesterday.
