Marionville puts the fun in winter

MARIONVILLE — This francophone hamlet divided by the invisible boundaries of Ottawa, Russell and North Dundas came together for their annual tradition of wintertime fun.

They even drew disparate municipal leaders — North Dundas Mayor Tony Fraser and his deputy mayor, Al Armstrong, along with Russell’s Mayor Pierre Leroux and Councillor Cindy Saucier — to the Community Centre serving table.

Marionville Winter Carnival- Carnaval de Marionville ran Wed., Feb. 1 through Saturday, Feb. 3. Fun activities like broomball, a talent show and dancing to traditional fiddle and folk music were captured and posted to Facebook.
