ROCKLAND —  Rockland OPP have confirmed that a missing man was found dead in the community yesterday evening.

Robert Wolfe, 36, had been reported missing earlier in the day, Feb. 6. Officers with the local detachment conducted searches of the Rockland area without success, while family and friends also gathered to search areas Wolfe was known to frequent.

Police say his body was found around 9 p.m. near a quarry along County Rd. 17, east of Edward St. “No foul play is suspected and there are no public safety concerns,” adds the detachment in a press release.

The coroner attended the scene and a post-mortem examination will be scheduled.

Rockland OPP say they wish to thank all members of the public for their assistance.
