EASTERN ONTARIO — Recent weather has almost turned the norm into the exception, with the Upper Canada District School Board issuing a special statement this evening that schools will be open tomorrow.

“All schools and board offices within the Upper Canada District School Board will be open on Thursday, Feb. 14, 2019.  We are looking forward to welcoming our students and staff back to school in the morning,” says the UCDSB.

“All extended day programs and child care centers operating on our school properties will also be open.  Community use of schools will also resume tomorrow, Feb. 14.

Tonight’s announcement follows two consecutive days of cancelled buses combined with the unusual closure of the schools as well. Today, Wed., Feb. 13, was the tenth declared ‘snow day’ of the 2018-19 school year.
