WINCHESTER — The Winchester District Memorial Hospital Auxiliary drew the winning tickets in its fundraising raffle on Valentine’s Day.

Volunteer Marlene Ashby created and donated the beautiful multi-coloured quilt, which was the first prize. Second prize was a $50 gift certificate for the hospital Gift Shoppe and third prize was a $25 gift card to Pizza Hut Morrisburg. The lucky winners will be notified in the coming days.

Organizers thank everyone that purchased raffle tickets. Proceeds of the fundraiser — approximately $2,000 — will be put towards the purchase of medical equipment at the hospital.

Because the government does not provide money for the purchase of medical equipment, such efforts are necessary to fill that funding gap.
