Men charged with Family Day armed robbery at Circle K in Iroquois

SOUTH DUNDAS — Two men have been charged with the armed robbery of an Iroquois convenience store on Family Day.

Police say two suspects entered the Circle K store and demanded cash, fleeing with a quantity of cash and tobacco products around 9:30 pm. No injuries resulted in what was the fourth robbery in four months at the establishment.

SD&G OPP officers and the Crime Unit located the duo in the area after responding to the Feb. 18 crime.

Police say they arrested Kasey Molson, 34, of Cardinal, Travis Visser, 28, of Augusta Township. Both men are charged with:

• Robbery with weapon (2 counts);

• Disguise with Intent (2 counts);

• Possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose (2 counts);

• Conspiracy to commit indictable offence.

They’re being held in custody with a bail hearing slated in Cornwall court.

The SD&G Crime Unit continues to investigate, with “no further information to be released at this time,” according to the detachment.
