Happy trails in North Stormont

In foreground, Colette Hutten and trusty steed ‘Phantom’ — and a local riding partner from the Berwick area — enjoyed the Warwick Forest trail, Feb. 23. Located in the Township of North Stormont, the winter recreational site is one of a number maintained by South Nation Conservation.

Below, the beautiful weather drew more than just horse riders and hikers to the trail, with ‘snow fleas’ also making an appearance. These little soil dwellers don’t bite and are technically not insects, despite their six legs.
