NDDHS Teams Cave and Roach make EOSSA; Watch EOSSA Curling LIVE!

Due to all the snow days this month, sports that were cancelled were played last week. Girls hockey took place on Tues., Feb. 19. In their first game, they lost against La Citadelle 4-1, but in the second game the girls won 2-1 against Holy Trinity. The next day, Wed., Feb 20, the boys played against Holy Trinity and defeated them 3-0. The boys’ team will be playing in the playoffs in Long Sault on Tues., Feb. 26. Good luck to both teams on Friday in the Dundas Cup against Seaway! Also, on Tuesday and Wednesday last week, the girls curling teams and the boys curling team travelled to Cornwall to compete in the SD&G curling tournament. Team Cave and Team Roach left with Gold medals, and they are going to EOSSA this week. Team Acres scored the bronze medal. Great job curlers!

Wed., Feb. 27 is pink shirt day. Raise awareness for bullying by wearing pink! All grade 12’s need to order their grad gowns. Make sure you try on sizes in room 106 and record which fits you best by, Thurs., Feb. 28. Dundas cup is this Friday, March 1. Admission is free, so make sure you bring in your signed permission form so you can attend!

CARLETON PLACE — The 2019 EOSSAA Open Curling Championships will take place February 26-27 at the Carleton Place Curling Club.

The event, hosted by Carleton Place High School, will draw the top eight high school teams in Eastern Ontario in three categories: girls, boys and mixed. Upper Canada District School Board schools participating in the event include: Perth and District Collegiate Institute, Gananoque Secondary School, Carleton Place High School, South Grenville District High School, Seaway District High School, North Dundas District High School, Glengarry District High School, and Vankleek Hill Collegiate Institute.

Details of the event are as follows:

Tuesday, February 26 to Wednesday, February 27

Start of Play: Tuesday, February 26, 9:00 a.m.

Medal Presentation: Wednesday, February 27, @ 7:00 p.m. Carleton Place Curling Club 120 Patterson Crescent Carleton Place
