With last week being the last week of the month, activities have been minimal. In sports news, the curling teams competed at EOSSA on Tues., Feb. 26, and Wed., Feb. 27. Team Cave of Grace Cave, Alison Roach, Alix Giles, and Mya Woods walked away with the silver medal. Team Roach of Matthew Roach, Ewan Wilson, Ian Koch, and Alvaro Castillejo took the bronze medal. Great season curlers! On Tues., Feb. 26, the boys’ hockey team lost in the semi-final game in overtime to Charlan, with a score of 3-2. The girls’ hockey team played the following day, Wed., Feb. 27, losing 3-0 in the semi-finals to St. Joes. Sadly, these teams weren’t successful against Seaway at the Dundas Cup on Fri., Mar. 1. The girls lost 3-1, and the boys lost 2-1, but luckily the intermediate division were victorious over Seaway, winning 2-1. All hockey teams will be travelling to Morrisburg on Thurs., to play the second round of the Dundas Cup. Good luck to all teams, bring home the cup!
Last week, on Wed., Feb. 27, students and staff dressed up in pink to spread awareness for bullying. Bullying happens in Canada every 7 minutes, bullying stops with you.
Secondary progress reports go home this Thurs., March 7 . Make sure you get your reports from your teachers! Next week — March 11 to 15 — is March Break! Go on vacation, catch up on homework, hang out with your friends, or anything in between!
