CHESTERVILLE — Students and staff at St. Mary Catholic School in Chesterville showed their Irish spirit today, March 7, during their annual St. Patty’s Day Tea.

Family, community members, and even recently locally-acclaimed Federal Conservative candidate Eric Duncan attended the affair.

Several parents and staff members donated a collection of delicious baked goods and sandwiches.

Older students served as waiters and waitresses handing out the finger foods and pouring drinks.

One student explained how much fun it was to help out and was impressed with the turn out.

“I love helping out especially knowing that the money is helping my school. There are so many people here!” she said.

One attendee also expressed how busy it was.

“When I got there at ten minutes to 12 it was very busy. Then by 12 o’clock the line-up was literally out the door!” she explained.

“Note to self either get there earlier or come later next year,” she jokingly added.
