SDG — Environment Canada says that motorists “should be prepared for hazardous winter driving conditions today,” following the arrival of a snowy “Colorado Low” that will persist in Eastern Ontario for much of the day.
Ten to 15 cm of snowfall is anticipated.
Certain areas have experienced bouts of freezing rain this morning as well, leading to cancellation of some Sunday morning church services. Environment Canada says today’s snow may briefly change to rain again this afternoon with a “not overly significant” risk of more freezing rain.
