This week is March break, the week students have been waiting for since exams. Last week was particularly hockey related, as the second game of the Dundas Cup took place in Morrisburg, and the intermediate hockey team competed. On Tues., March 5 the intermediate hockey team competed in the finals game and won! The team won all of their games this season, great job team! The Dundas Cup, which took place on Thurs., March 7, was a mix of emotions for all teams and spectators. The intermediate hockey team secured the win with a score of 4-3, a very close game! Our girls’ hockey team however was not as victorious, losing 3-1 against Seaway. The most intense game of the Dundas Cup was the final boys’ game. The boys were down 0-2 after the first period, but in the second period they fought back hard and were in the lead 3-2. Sadly, they couldn’t sustain the lead in the game, tying Seaway 4-4. We couldn’t secure the cup this year, but we will surely win it back next year!

March will be a fairly slow month activity wise, but there are a few activities students can look forward to after the break is over. On Wed., March 20, the intermediate girls’ basketball team is scheduled to play in South Grenville, best of luck girls! Wed., March 27 is Grade 8 graduation photo day, be sure to dress your best and bring your smiles!
