OTTAWA — CTV Question Period host Evan Solomon turns Glengarry-Prescott-Russell’s Francis Drouin inside-out on the national program as the Liberal MP tries to defend the Trudeau government’s adjournment of the Justice Committee that was examining the SNC-Lavalin affair.
Drouin introduced the motion shutting down the committee last week.
“I think we should let the Justice Committee do its work,” Drouin said near the end of his interview during the March 17 broadcast, after being peppered with questions from Solomon about the government’s refusal to let former cabinet minister Jody Wilson-Raybould testify about the period following her removal as Attorney General.
“I think so too!” the host interjected, before reminding Drouin that it was his motion that ended the committee’s work.
