Multiple thefts – Stolen tractor and snowmobile
NORTH DUNDAS — A tractor was stolen from a property on County Road 31, Winchester, on March 12.
Investigation indicated that sometime between midnight and 1 a.m. unknown individuals visited a business and stole a 2018 John Deere 3025E Green Tractor, shortly thereafter another theft occurred on Dawley Dr., Winchester where a 2007 Yellow 1996 Skidoo and 2007 black Blaz Trailer was removed from another business.
A black Chevrolet Z71 pick-up truck was captured on video with two individuals, during the first theft and the same Chevrolet truck returned a short time later with another Ford truck.
Investigation continues.
Two men charged
NORTH DUNDAS — SD&G OPP Community street crime unit conducted an investigation shortly before 10 a.m., on March 14, this resulted in two males breaching their previous release conditions. Officers confirmed the males were in contravention of their previous release conditions. This also resulted in the seizure of a quantity of methamphetamine.
An 18- year-old male of North Dundas, was arrested and charged with;
– Possession of a controlled substance
– Five counts of Failure to comply with conditions of probation order YCJA
Christopher McRoberts (41) of North Dundas, Ontario was arrested and charged with;
– Two counts of failure to comply with conditions of a Recognizance
– Possession of a controlled substance
Both were held in custody and are scheduled to a court appearance in Cornwall court.
Male arrested for stolen SUV
SOUTH STORMONT — Members of the SD&G OPP intercepted a stolen SUV on Highway 401, South Stormont, March 14 shortly after 12:30 p.m. The investigation revealed that an adult male was in possession of a stolen SUV (Lexus RX35) from Toronto. The investigation further revealed that the adult male driver was under the influence of alcohol and drugs.
Giuseppe Ianiro, 59, of Saint-Leonard, Quebec was arrested and charged with;
– Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000
– Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
– Drive Motor Vehicle – No licence (Highway Traffic Act)
– Driving Motor Vehicle with open container of liquor (Liquor licence act)
He was held in custody (bail) and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.
Theft at a business
MAXVILLE — A theft occurred at a business on Main St. in Maxville on March shortly after 1:30 p.m.
Investigation indicated that an individual entered the store removed various bottles of alcohol.
An investigation continues.
Break-in
MONKLAND — A break-in occurred on March 16, at a business on Highway 138, Monkland shortly after 2 a.m.
Investigation indicated that sometime between 2:05 a.m.-2:13 a.m. the culprit(s) entered a business and removed multiple tobacco products.
