RUSSELL — The Kin Club of Russell is seeking everyone’s input from the Village of Russell (not Russell Township) on two new Welcome to Russell signs they are designing and building. Sign Committee chairs Ash Babber and David Picard emphasized the signs should be reflective of Russell Village’s heritage, personality and character. “That is why we are conducting a very short survey, in English and French, to compile everyone’s wishes for the new signs.”

Residents of the Village of Russell can confirm their thoughts and choices at https://kinclubofrussell.ca/russell-sign for the next two weeks until April 10. The signs will be placed on Castor St., just by the bike path between Russell and Embrun, and also on Craig St., close to Boundary Road. The Kin Club of Russell will be fundraising for the signs and sponsors will have their names enshrined on a commemorative plaque near the bike path sign location. For donations please contact Doug Anthony at kindoug27@gmail.com or 613-445-6483.

As an added incentive to complete the survey, the Kin Club of Russell will conduct a draw of all entrees and donate a Poutmasters 20th Anniversary Family pass to the lucky draw winner, May 10 – 12.
