Charges laid for three men regarding historical sexual assaults in Russell County

ROCKLANDFour males were arrested between January 31 and March 13, from the same family on sexual related offences. Alleged incidents date to between 1974 and 1991.

A 58 year-old male from Ottawa, was charged with:

• Indecent Assault on Female YPC 149;

• Indecent Assault on Female CC 149 and

• Sexual Assault CC 246.1

The accused is scheduled to appear in L’Orignal court on April 10.

 

A 62 year-old male from Rockland, was charged with:

• Indecent Assault on Female CC 149

The accused is scheduled to appear in L’Orignal court on April 3.

 

A 67 year-old male from Ottawa, was charged with:

• Indecent Assault on Female CC 149 (Two counts);

• Sexual Assault CC 246.1 (Four counts);

• Sexual Interference CC 151 (Two counts);

• Sexual Exploitation CC 153 (Two counts);

• Sexual Intercourse with Step-Daughter or Female Employee CC 153 and

• Sexual Intercourse with a Female under 14 years of age CC 146

 

The accused is scheduled to appear in L’Orignal court on April 24.

A 57 year-old male from Rockland, Ontario was charged with:

• Sexual Intercourse with Female under Fourteen Years CC 146;

• Sexual Assault CC 246.1 and

• Indecent Assault on Female CC 149

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in L’Orignal on May 8.

The identities of the accused cannot be released in order to protect the identities of the victims. Some of the accused are also protected under the terms of the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA) due to the historic nature of the allegations.
