MORRISBURG — As part of his campaign, local Conservative Candidate Eric Duncan along with 25 friends and family went door-to-door in Morrisburg and Cornwall this past weekend.
“We had 25 volunteers who knocked on about 500 doors. We got about 35-40 lawn sign requests and had a chance to hear feedback from constituents on both national and local issues,” said Duncan.
Duncan and his ‘posse’ will continue to canvas in every town in the riding in the lead up to the election.
The Conservative Candidate also plans to maintain his door-knocking initiative himself a couple of times per week and his group is to pursue large canvasses monthly in the lead up to the election.
“Door knocking is a great way to hear directly from people on what they are thinking and what issues are important to them,” explained Duncan. “Getting an idea from the news or social media is one thing, but people appreciate the face-to-face contact and I get a good feel for the community this way,” he concluded.
