Hawkesbury OPP release facial re-creation of unidentified male remains found near Ottawa River, Wendover

WENDOVERHawkesbury OPP Detachment and Forensics Identification Services Unit (FISU) are seeking the public’s help identifying an unidentifed male after his remains were found on Tuesday, April 18, 2017. The remains were located on a residential river property along the shoreline near the Ottawa River, off of Division Rd., Wendover. 

The body was determined to be a male 50-75 years of age, between 165 to 182 cm (5’3″ to 5’9″) in height and approximately 167 pounds. He had a small amount of grey/brown hair at the back and facial hair described as short (stubble or unshaven) grey bread. The man’s teeth were well-cared for, with visible fillings.

At the time this male was located he was wearing:

  • dark (olive) green parka style “Divided” jacket, with two large cargo pockets and hood;
  • black “Airwalk” running shoes, size 11 with a distinctive fluorescent yellow/green sole and tongue;
  • brown t-shirt with grammy award picture and words “alife” written above on front and “STRAIGHT WHITE TRASH” written on back, size XL;
  • blue t-shirt with ram animal logo with two guns with “BLAISEDALE” written below, size M;
  • grey long sleeve “MEXX” under sweater, two breast pockets, slim fit, size XL;
  • white “Mountain Ridge” long-underwear, size XL;
  • thick maroon wool socks;
  • brown “Denver Hayes” sweater with zipper at neck, size M; and
  • “Athletic Works” black nylon track pants with two tone grey and white stripe, size M.

The Russell County OPP Crime Unit and the Office of the Coroner will be continuing with the investigation under the direction of Detective Inspector Daniel Nadeau of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB).
