CHESTERVILLE — A male was taken into custody as police executed a warrant in Chesterville this afternoon.

Four cruisers descended on the Thompson Rd. address as some sort of investigation appeared to be underway. Three of the cruisers were parked on nearby South Street and on County Rd. 43 behind the property for a time. An observer on Facebook reported that all of the police vehicles later moved over to Thompson Rd. as well.

Residents also said they saw an officer with a dog.

SD&G OPP Const. Tylor Copeland said the individual was arrested “without incident.” The officer could provide no further details at this time.
