EMBRUN — Russell County OPP are seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspicious tuxedo-clad man in a black car who approached a child walking along St-Andre Rd. in Embrun this past Thursday, May 23.
The driver rolled down his passenger window and started asking personal questions in French — such as, “Where do you live?” — and offered the child a ride.
The man is described as Caucasian with a pale complexion and approximately 48 to 60 years old and French-speaking with no accent. He had brown eyes and short, dark brown or black “cone hair” and wore a black tuxedo with tie as well as a gold Rolex-style watch.
The car was black — possibly a Chrysler 200 — with lots of chrome trim.
Anyone knowing the man or having additional information about this incident is asked to contact the Russell County OPP at 613-443-4499 or the OPP Communication Centre at 1-888-310-1122.
Russell County OPP invite parents to discuss and review the “Stranger Danger” tips with their children, including the resources at www.protectchildren.ca
