KEMPTVILLE — Detours were set up for most of the day today around the scene of a collision that took life of a motorcyclist east of Kemptville this morning.
Grenville County OPP say the involved motorcycle was eastbound on County Rd. 43 around 8 a.m. when, for reasons still under investigation, the bike collided with a westbound tractor trailer at Maple Stone Drive, less than two kilometres from the North Dundas Township border.

The lone adult driver of the motorcycle, Guy Larouche, 62, of Gatineau, Que., was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The adult driver and lone occupant of the transport was uninjured.
OPP Traffic Collision Investigators (TCI) have been assisting Grenville County OPP officers as they process the scene today.
Police detoured traffic onto County Road 22 and Boundary Rd., reopening the affected section of County Rd. 43 shortly after 7 p.m.
