ARNPRIOR — Officers with the SD&G OPP Community Street Crime Unit made a foray into the Arnprior area June 6, where they raided a McNab-Braeside Township property and turned up — among other things — a tractor stolen in North Dundas last March.

The OPP’s Emergency Response Team assisted in the search warrant that also seized a quantity of cocaine and Percocets plus a .22 calibre rifle and pellet guns.

Police report the arrest of a man and woman: Steven Couvieau, 44, of McNab-Braeside Township and Robyn Ditmar, 28, of Pembroke. A third person, Leo Mavraganis, 39, of Ottawa, was arrested June 11.

The involved tractor, a 2018 John Deere 3025E, disappeared from a County Rd. 31 property in North Dundas between midnight and 1 a.m. on March 12, while another nearby business on nearby Dawley Drive lost a 1996 yellow Skidoo and a 2007 black Blaz Trailer shortly thereafter.

According to police, Couvieau faces two counts of theft under $5,000 in connection with the stolen tractor. He’s also charged with unauthorized possession of a firearm and breach of firearm regulation (store firearm), along with two counts of possession of a controlled substance. He’s due to appear Aug. 13 in Morrisburg court and July 17 in Renfrew court.

According to police, Ditmar is charged with unauthorized possession of a firearm and breach of firearm regulation (store firearm). She’s also charged with possession of a controlled substance and failing to comply with a probation order (three counts).

According to police, Mavraganis also faces two counts of theft under $5,000 in connection with the stolen tractor and a single count of theft over $5,000. Mavraganis was held in custody to appear June 14  in Cornwall court.
