Hard drugs and trafficking charges in small towns around the region this month, from Cardinal to Rockland

CARDINAL — Cocaine, crystal meth, methamphetamine tablets and marijuana were seized during a June 14 police raid that busted an alleged drug-trafficking operation at a Walter Street residence in Cardinal.

Officers arrested a man and woman as a result of the search warrant executed at the address that day.

The OPP reports that Cardinal residents Christopher Deline, 29, and Kyra Dumm, 23, are both charged with:

  • Possession of Schedule I Substance – Cocaine CDSA Section 4(1)
  • Possession of Schedule III Substance – CDSA Section 4(1)
  • Possession of Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of Trafficking – other drugs CDSA section 5(2)
  • Possession for the purpose of distributing CDSA Section 9(2)
  • Alter or offer to alter the chemical or physical properties of cannabis by use of an organic solvent
  • Possession of Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of Trafficking – other drugs CDSA section 5(2)

The accused are scheduled to appear July 26 in Brockville court.

Officers with the OPP’s Leeds-Grenville and Lanark Community Street Crime Unit and Emergency Response Team (ERT) took part in the Cardinal raid.

Drug bust in South Crosby

SOUTH CROSBY — Police say they seized suspected cocaine and crystal meth during a June 14 at a Maple Avenue residence in South Crosby, also arresting a man in the process.

The OPP reports that Stanley Little, 49, of South Crosby is charged with:

  • Possession of Schedule I Substance – Cocaine CDSA Section 4(1)
  • Possession of Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – other drugs CDSA section 5(2)
  • Possession of Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – other drugs CDSA section 5(2)

He’s scheduled to appear July 26 in Brockville court.

Multi-faceted drug-trafficking bust in Bourget and Alfred-Plantagenet

ROCKLAND — Two women and a man were arrested and charged as alleged drug traffickers after a multi-faceted police raid that landed an estimated $65,000 worth of illicit substances June 12 in Bourget and Alfred-Plantagenet.

Police say they executed three simultaneous search warrants and also stopped a vehicle as part of the action involving the OPP’s East Region Community Street Crime Unit, Emergency Response Team, Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau and the local Russell County detachment.

Investigators seized a quantity of suspected methamphetamine, cocaine, MDMA (Ecstasy), psilocybin, oxycodone, cannabis, cannabis Resin and Xanax, as well as $350 in cash and a 2006 Lincoln Navigator.

Police have released this photo of items seized in Alfred-Plantagenet and Bourget.

According to police, 31-year-old Yvon Vieno of Alfred-Plantagenet Township, 40-year-old Valerie Seguin of Clarence-Rockland, and 33-year-old Audrey Mapp of Alfred-Plantagenet are all charged under the Controlled Drug and Substance Act.

Vieno is charged with:

  • Trafficking of a Schedule 1 Substance (Methamphetamine) (2 counts)
  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (cocaine).
  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (methamphetamine).
  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (oxycodone).
  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (MDMA – Ecstasy).
  • Possession of a Schedule IV Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (Xanax).
  • Possession of a Schedule III Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (psilocybin).

He is further charged under the Cannabis Act with:

  • Did Unlawfully Possess Cannabis for the Purpose of Selling It.

Seguin is charged with:

  • Trafficking of a Schedule 1 Substance (Methamphetamine) (6 counts)
  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (methamphetamine) (2 counts)

She is also charged under the Cannabis Act with:

  • Did Unlawfully Possess Cannabis for the Purpose of Selling It (2 counts)

Mapp is charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (cocaine).
  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (methamphetamine).
  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (oxycodone).
  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (MDMA – Ecstasy).
  • Possession of a Schedule IV Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (Xanax).
  • Possession of a Schedule III Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (psilocybin).

She is also charged under the Cannabis Act with:

  • Possession of Illicit Cannabis.

Vieno and Seguin were held in custody pending bail hearings June 13 in L’Orignal court. Mapp was to appear June 17 in L’Orignal court.
