NORTH DUNDAS — Has your bike been stolen from North Dundas? Recently the SD&G OPP have recovered several bicycles and would like to find their owners. If you have lost, or have had a bicycle stolen, please contact the SD&G OPP to inquire about your bike.

 

Traffic stop results in charges

SOUTH STORMONT — OPP Highway Safety Division and SD&G OPP officers conducted a traffic stop and intercepted a stolen car shortly before 2 p.m., July 4, on Highway 401, South Stormont. The investigation revealed that a male was in possession of a stolen car from Toronto. The male then resisted during his arrest and caused damage to a police cruiser.

Garrett Stimpson, 26, of Orangeville, was arrested and charged with;

– Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000

– Mischief – Under $5000

-Resist Arrest

– Driving Under suspension (Highway Traffic Act)

He was released and is scheduled to appear in Cornwall court August 22.
