RUSSELLMembers of the Kin Club of Russell along with family, friends and some Embrun students once again proved their worth in the community and gave up a couple of hours this past weekend despite the very warm weather. The clean-up of the Castor River involved clean-up supplies: vests, gloves, garbage bags, recycling bags, garbage pickers, etc. were provided. South Nation Conservation de la Nation Sud and Russell Township supported the Kin Club’s efforts.  Pictured are some of the wonderful volunteers from École secondaire Embrun led by Jennifer Geigel, as well as Keiran Marchessault, Tony Baas, Mike Johnson, Margaret Grohmann, South Nation Conservation and Russell Township who helped with the clean up along the Castor River and dam site.

Volunteers met at the Russell damn site at 1 p.m. for instructions and safety information and start clean-up efforts. The Club thanks those who provided canoes; it was truly appreciated.
