PRESCOTT A tractor trailer driver was sleeping inside his parked rig behind the nearby Ultramar when one of the vehicle’s windows was smashed with a projectile around 10:30 p.m. on June 29.

Grenville OPP Constable Ann Collins confirms, “There was a person asleep in the tractor trailer but was unhurt.”

Shortly after a second vehicle  — a camper van — was struck by a projectile on the driver’s side window, while driving on Hwy. 401 near the Prescott westbound exit. The driver was nearly struck in the head.

Collins claims the projectile “just missed him.”

It is believed that the incidents are related.

Police are not yet disclosing what the ‘projectile’ was, to protect the evidence in the case.

Police have identified a vehicle of interest. It is described as a newer model white SUV (seen in above thumbnail).

Any information related to the identity of the vehicle driver and occupants are asked to contact Prescott OPP detachment on 613 925 4221 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-(TIPS) 8477 or submit your tip on-line at www.tipsubmit.com. Crime Stoppers does not want your name, you don’t go to court, and you could earn cash reward.
