Male charged with assault with weapon in Alexandria; impaired driving charges

Assault with a weapon

ALEXANDRIA — An altercation occurred between two adults after one male broke into the residence and struck the other with a weapon and assaulted him shortly before 9 a.m. on July 13.

The victim was transported to hospital with serious non-life threatening injuries.

The accused male and victim are known to each other.

Hugo Boulanger, 29, of St. Polycarp, Que. was arrested and is charged with;

– Assault with a weapon

– Aggravated Assault

– Break and enter 

He was held in custody pending bail and is scheduled to appear in Cornwall court.

 

Impaired drivers 

NORTH STORMONT — SD&G responded to a single vehicle collision on County Road 43, North Stormont shortly after 7:30 a.m. on July 13.  

Investigation revealed that the adult driver was under the influence of alcohol.

 Matthew Julien, 36, of South Stormont, was arrested and is charged with;

 – Drive a Motor Vehicle while Impaired

– Drive a Motor Vehicle with over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in blood

 The accused was released and is scheduled to appear in Cornwall court on July 25.

 

SOUTH DUNDAS — During a ride program conducted on Cty. Rd. 2, South Dundas, July 13, around 3:30 p.m. 

After investigation Michael McCadden, 48, of South Dundas, was arrested and is charged with;

– Drive a Motor Vehicle while Impaired

– Drive a Motor Vehicle with over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in blood

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear in Morrisburg court August 13.
