Woman dies in North Stormont vehicle rollover this morning

The adult female passenger has been identified as 18-year-old Logan Sunday, of South Glengarry, was pronounced deceased at scene.

The adult male driver, 25, of South Glengarry, was transported to hospital with serious non-life threatening injuries. Police initially determined his injuries as life-threatening.

SD&G OPP continue to investigate the collision with the assistance of the OPP Traffic Collision Investigators (TCI).

NORTH STORMONT —  A single-vehicle collision took the life of an unnamed woman in North Stormont early this morning.

The event occurred shortly after 4:35 a.m. when the eastbound passenger vehicle left County Rd. 43 and rolled into a ditch between County Rd. 20 and Pigeon Hill Rd., according to the SD&G OPP.

The deceased, an adult female passenger, was pronounced deceased at the scene, according to the detachment. An adult male — the driver — was transported to hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries.

Names have been withheld pending notification of next of kin.

OPP Traffic Collision Investigators are assisting the local detachment in an ongoing investigation into the crash. Detours are in place on County Rd. 43 at County Rd. 20 and Pigeon Hill Rd. as that work continues.
