Local Ford dealer ponies up $1,000 for Seaway Valley Crime Stoppers

SD&G OPP Const. Tylor Copeland receives the contribution from David and Cynthia Cassel at S.G. Wells Ford.

INGLESIDE — A South Stormont car dealership has given a tidy sum to Seaway Valley Crime Stoppers.

On behalf of the non-profit organization, SD&G OPP Const. Tylor Copeland picked up the $1,000 donation July 22 from S.G. Wells Ford in Ingleside.

The owners, David and Cynthia Cassel, have stepped up to support the local crime-fighting team.

Copeland and the Crime Stoppers Board of Directors have expressed thanks to the S.G Wells team for their generous contribution to the program, which relies completely on donations to operate.

The dealership in question was the recent victim of brazen thieves who stole five new pickup trucks off the lot.
