One man charged and one female at large after a patrol stop on Caldwell Ave.

OTTAWA —  Police have arrested one male driver and are trying to locate his female passenger after a patrol officer discovered an illegally parked vehicle on the 1400 block of Caldwell Ave, on July 13. An investigation by the officer revealed that the male driver was wanted on other offences.

The on-scene investigation led officers to find break and enter tools, instruments for forging credit cards and false cheques.

Matthew Staniowski, 36, of Ottawa, is charged with:

*       Possession of break and enter instruments
*       Possession of a weapon
*       Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000
*       Make instrument for forging or falsifying credit card

Staniowski will appear in court on August 15.

Police are seeking assistance locating the passenger, Alycia Sauve, 20, of Ottawa, who currently has an outstanding warrant. She is wanted by police for the following charges:

*       Four counts of failure to comply with recognizance
*       Obstruct peace officer
*       Possession of break and enter instruments
*       Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000
*       Make instrument for forging or falsifying credit card
