Charges laid after breach of conditions and assault in Glengarry

Breach of Conditions

NORTH GLENGARRY — SD&G OPP officers responded to a breach of conditions occurrence shortly before 11 a.m., August 22, on Main Street in North Glengarry. According to police, their investigation revealed that an adult male was breaching previous release conditions. The accused became uncooperative with officers and resisted arrest.    

Gilbert Durocher, 56, of North Glengarry, was arrested and charged with;

–             Three counts of Failure to comply with conditions of an undertaking 

–             Resist peace officer

–             Obstruct justice

He was held in custody pending bail and is scheduled to appear in Cornwall court.

 

Assault

SOUTH GLENGARRY — A disturbance occurred shortly before 5 p.m. on August 22, at a residence on County Road 2, South Glengarry.

According to police, investigation revealed that an adult male had struck an adult female during an altercation.

Michel Lalonde, 58, of South Glengarry, was arrested and charged with;

–             Two counts of assault

He was released and is scheduled to appear in Alexandria court on September 11.
