LONG SAULT — For 15 years, the McGillivray family has opened their home in Long Sault to family, friends and neighbours for an annual Family Pig Roast. All guests enjoy great food and music and a donation box at the door supports local charities. Thousands of dollars have been raised.

“This year, the WDMH Foundation was honoured to be included at the July 27 event,” said Cindy Peters, Manager of Direct Mail & Events. “The $500 donation will be directed to the General Equipment Fund.”

“We are happy to be able to help out as Winchester Hospital is very important to our community,” noted Liz McGillivray.

This year’s event included the band ‘Northern Echo’ as the main act, as well as other local musicians and dancers, including the Glengarry Pipe Band.

“It was a fun event with great food, music and company,” summed up Cindy. “Thank you to Kenny, Liz and all the guests for their generosity – and for supporting WDMH.”

Many people are surprised to learn that the provincial government does not fund the purchase of medical equipment for Ontario hospitals. To help ensure that WDMH has the right tools to provide excellent health care for our patients, the Foundation works with donors who care about WDMH and who want to make an impact. Thank you!
