Several fishing rods stolen from South Glengarry property; assaults with a weapon; uttering threats

Stolen fishing rods

SOUTH GLENGARRY — Multiple fishing rods were reported stolen from a property on County Rd. 2, South Glengarry shortly after 4:30 p.m. on August 24. According to police, investigation indicated that sometime during the previous days culprit(s) attended the property and removed eight fishing rods.

An investigation continues.

 

Assault with weapon

NORTH DUNDAS — SD&G OPP responded to a disturbance call on County Rd. 43 in North Dundas shortly before 5 p.m. on August 25.  

According to police, investigation indicated that an altercation occurred between two adult males. The accused male displayed a weapon towards the victim and uttered threats.

Jeffrey Moore, 57, of North Grenville, was arrested and is charged with:

–             Assault with a weapon

–             Uttering threats

–             Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose

He was released and is scheduled to appear in Morrisburg court October 1.

Threats

SOUTH STORMONT — SD&G OPP responded to a report of a threat shortly after 10 p.m. on August 23, on St. Lawrence Street, South Stormont. According to police, investigation concluded that an adult male threatened an adult female at the location.

Robert Holland, 25, South Stormont, was arrested and is charged with:

– Two counts of Uttering Threats 

He was released from custody pending a court appearance pending bail in Cornwall court on October 8.

 

Threats

NORTH GLENGARRY — SD&G OPP responded to the report of a threatening incident at a residence on Stewarts Glen Road, North Glengarry at 3 p.m. on August 24. According to police, investigation indicated that an adult male threatened an adult male at the location and caused damage to property at the location.

Marc Belanger, 40, of Montreal, was arrested and is charged with:

– Four counts of Uttering Threats 

– Mischief Under – $5000

He was released from custody pending a court appearance in Alexandria court on October 2.
