Charges laid for uttering threats, possession of stolen property, and impaired driving

Male and female charged for uttering threats

ROCKLAND — Russell County OPP officers responded to a threats complaint on Du Parc Avenue in Rockland on August 26, shortly before 5:30 p.m.

The investigation revealed that an altercation occurred between a male and two females.

 

As a result of the investigation, a 16-year-old male from Rockland, was charged with:

  • Uttering Threats – Cause death or Bodily Harm CC 264.1(1)(a)

The accused is scheduled to appear in  L’Orignal court on October 9.

 

And a 16-year-old female from Hawkesbury, Ontario was charged with:

  • Uttering Threats – Cause death or Bodily Harm CC 264.1(1)(a)

The accused is scheduled to appear in  L’Orignal court on October 9.

 

Male charged for possession of stolen property 

ROCKLAND — Russell County OPP officers responded to a mischief complaint on August 30, shortly before 2 a.m. on Laporte Street in Rockland.

During the investigation, officers determined that a male had stolen numerous items from vehicles.

As a result of the investigation, a 17-year-old male, from Curran, Ontario was charged with:

  • Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 CC 355(b) and
  • Fail to Comply with Sentence YCJA 137

The accused is scheduled to appear in L’Orignal court on October 10.

The identity of the accused cannot be released under terms of the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA).

 

Male charged for driving while impaired by alcohol 

ROCKLAND — A Pembroke driver was arrested after a traffic stop at 5 a.m. on September 1, on Richelieu St., Rockland.

During the investigation, the officer determined that the male had been consuming alcohol and was impaired.

As a result of the investigation, Christopher Peter Gagnon, 24-years-old, from Pembroke, was arrested and charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus) CC 320.14(1)(b) and
  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs CC 320.14(1)(a)

The accused received a 90-day driver’s license suspension and the vehicle was also impounded for seven days.

The accused is scheduled to appear in L’Orignal court on September.
