WINCHESTER — An irreplaceable pendant necklace was stolen during a break-in on Caleb St., Winchester, this past weekend. Nineteen-year-old Samantha Markell of Winchester, is now seeking the public’s help locating her precious necklace that contains the ashes of her recently-deceased father.
Although other items were stolen during the incident such as; a dragon necklace, an Acer Google Chromebook laptop, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 system. She’s more “concerned about the necklace with the ashes,” Markell insisted.
Her father — Chucky Markell — passed away suddenly in January of cancer. Samantha had the necklace made shortly after her dad’s funeral as a way of keeping him close to her heart at all times.
Markell says that she and her dad were very close.
“I was daddy’s little girl,” she explained.
So this necklace means more to her than just the monetary value.
If anyone knows the whereabouts of the necklace, she would very much like it back, no questions asked.
“I just want it returned, no issues,” she assured.
Although police were contacted right away, according to Samantha they were unable to acquire any fingerprints to narrow down the suspect(s).
She believes the culprit(s) broke into her residence with a crowbar on Sept. 7 between 7 p.m. and 11 p.m. while she was away at a fair.
Anyone with any knowledge about the missing necklace is asked to please call Samantha anytime at 613-870-0862 or email her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
She thanks the public in advance for any help they can lend on this matter.
