NATION VALLEY — In a celestial event not seen in more than 150 years, tonight’s harvest moon coincides with Friday the 13th.
A harvest moon is the the full moon occurring closest to the start of the fall season.
Tonight’s moon rises shortly after 7:45 p.m. The weather is forecast to be cloudy with rain later in the evening.
Last night’s moon, however, was unobscured by cloud cover (see photo above).
