One person injured and OPP treated for smoke inhalation after South Glengarry house fire

SOUTH GLENGARRY — SD&G OPP officers responded to a house fire on October 8, at a residence on Willow Drive, South Glengarry. Upon arrival officers observed that there was a person inside the flaming structure.

The person was able to escape the residence with the assistance from South Glengarry Fire Department. The victim has been transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

An officer involved attended hospital and was treated and released for smoke inhalation.

South Glengarry Fire Department members attended the scene to extinguish the fire.

Investigators from the Ontario Fire Marshall (OFM), assisted by SD&G OPP officers and SD&G OPP crime unit continue the investigation.
