12-year-old charged with arson after setting fire behind Subway in Morrisburg

MORRISBURG — SD&G OPP responded to a fire behind Subway in Morrisburg shortly before 2 p.m. on October 12. Investigation revealed that a youth had set fire to an object behind a building causing it to burn and cause damage to the building.

The 12-year-old of South Dundas, was arrested and is charged with;

– Arson – damage to Property (YCJA)

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear in Cornwall court on November 21.

The name of the accused is being withheld in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA).
