CHESTERVILLE — Some folks just can’t wait for the snow to arrive — and they hope the whole community helps them celebrate this anticipation with some magic and music, Nov. 2.
A fundraiser for the Nation Valley Snowmobile Association, the annual ‘Bring on the Snow’ dance promises a flurry of fun — regardless of whether revellers have ever revved up a sled in their lives.
“Just because we’re putting it on, doesn’t mean that only snowmobilers should attend,” emphasizes organizer and NSVA volunteer Karen Parker. “It’s open to everyone. It’s a night out to meet with your neighbours and friends.”
The 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. event features the adult magic show and mind-reading talents of illusionist Kevin Smith. “If he’s half as good as I keep hearing, it’s going to be amazing,” says Parker.
The organization raises money every year to help with the costs of maintaining its extensive trail system.
Tickets may be available at the door if the event hasn’t been sold out. Ensure your spot at this event by buying a ticket in advance by calling Parker at 613-448-2152.

Kent and Cindy Merkley also return to spin the tunes as DJs that evening — a service the couple provides in return for running their dog-sled team on the NVSA trail system.
A light lunch will also be served as the evening progresses.
