WINCHESTER — St. Clare’s Anglican Church, located on the outskirts of Winchester, hosts the Gloucester Community Concert Band today (Sat., Oct. 26) at 3 p.m.

The Gloucester Community Concert Band is a non-profit community organization that has worked together 30 years to perform at community events while mentoring young musicians.  Sixty musicians from all walks of life meet for weekly rehearsals preparing for concerts held in the spring and fall of the year, enabling them to share their love of music with local communities.

For those who enjoy listening to a wide selection of music including Broadway show tunes, big band swing, traditional classics and seasonal favourites, the concert will provide an opportunity to visit with friends and listen to the musicians under the direction of conductor Lisa Concessi Maclean, a retired music teacher and long-time member of the GCCB.  A free-will offering will be collected at the door.

Below, the GCCB performs ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ in the YouTube clip below.
