What you need to know about the upcoming HAIRSPRAY Fundraiser to benefit Russell’s future aqua centre

RUSSELL — The Kin Club of Russell will host it’s second roast for a local personality. This time, Marie Claire Ivanski, winner of multiple volunteer awards, will be roasted and honoured for her extensive volunteerism in Russell Township. Funds raised at this event will be used toward a potential future aqua centre in Russell Township. 

The event will be held at the Embrun Community Centre on November 30. Guests, encouraged to wear pink, will be welcomed at 6 pm and the roast begins at 7 p.m. Foodland will supply the hors d’oeuvres for a fun and elegant evening with many surprises and extras. 

Further funds will be raised with a live auction and a silent auction. Browsing encouraged between 6 and 7 p.m. as the auction will end at the end of the intermission. 

Individual tickets will be available for $40 and may be purchased through Connie Johnston at 613-445-3587; purchase a table (for eight) at Russell Scotiabank, Pronto and Etienne Brule Brewery; corporate tables are available from Kin Doug Anthony 613-445-6483.
