SOUTH DUNDAS — Five children were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries after their school bus ditched late this afternoon on Wallace Road, South Dundas.
The 52-year-old driver of the bus has been charged with Careless Driving – Causing Bodily Harm, under the Highway Traffic Act, according to the SD&G OPP.
The detachment reports that three other child passengers aboard the bus were uninjured when the northbound vehicle left the roadway for reasons still under investigation.
A resident of Oxford Mills, the driver also sustained no injuries in the incident occurring around 4:40 p.m.
The roadway is currently open.
