CORNWALL — Vagabond Theatre, which has been entertaining Cornwall and area for more than 35 years, is pleased to present the thriller play “Murder by the Book” written by Duncan Greenwood and Robert King.

The play is directed by Katie Burke and produced by Dan Youmelle. The production features Brendan Boisvenue, Mike Chatelain, Cameron MacPhee, Mariela Ortiz, and Rebecca Sorrell-Forrester.

A murder mystery like none before, Imogen wants a divorce from her husband Selwyn but he refuses on the grounds that a divorce would leave him open to making the same mistake again. The solution is murder: an inconspicuous dispatch by one of the other. Will it be by gun, knife, poison or devious plotting?

Director Katie Burke states: “This lighthearted and inventive thriller with its crisp dialogue exchanges and clever plot twists will keep those attending laughing and guessing right up to the end.”

The performances will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, November 22-23 and again on Friday and Saturday November 29-30. A matinee performance will take place on Sunday November 24 at 1:30 p.m. All performances will take place at the BMO/future Arts & Culture Centre, 159 Pitt St., Cornwall.

Tickets at $20 per person are available at Eventbrite.ca, at the door, or by calling Dan Youmelle at 613-938-1930.
