EASTERN ONTARIO — Last night’s flurries have prompted the cancellation of school buses this morning.

Student Transportation of Eastern Ontario — the consortium handling school busing for both the Upper Canada District School Board and the Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario — called off the buses earlier today, Nov. 12. It’s the first snow day of the 2019/2020 school year and comes unusually early. It was only yesterday that many schools marked Remembrance Day.

The region continues to dig out from last night’s snowfall, which dumped around 15 centimetres on the area.

Schools remain open for children who can get there.
