Single-vehicle collision leads to impaired driving charges in S. Dundas

SOUTH DUNDAS — A 23-year-old from Ottawa was charged for impaired driving and failure to stop after an accident after a single motor vehicle collision on Cty. Rd. 18., South Dundas. SD&G OPP responded to the collision shortly before 10 p.m. on December 4. Upon arrival, officers discovered the involved vehicle had left the area, and located the driver and vehicle a short distance away.

Investigation revealed that the adult driver was under the influence of alcohol.

Colin Cuthbert, 23, of Ottawa, was arrested and is charged with;

– Drive a Motor Vehicle while Impaired

– Drive a Motor Vehicle with over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in blood

– Dangerous operation

– Failure to stop after an accident

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear in Morrisburg court, January 7.
