Three local groups to host a Christmas Dinner and Show benefiting a local family or business

CHESTERVILLE — On Friday, December 13 and Saturday, December 14, A Bunch of People, the Dundas County Players, and the McCloskey Project will host their second annual Christmas Dinner and Show at McCloskey’s in Chesterville, to benefit a local family or individual.

“Last year we raised $300 through our dinner and show and we gave it to a local family,” Amanda Burger of A Bunch of People said.  “We later heard the family had used the funds to pay their car insurance, which allowed the parent to obtain employment, and this year we will add 10 percent of all profits from our A Bunch of People events of 2019 to the funds raised.”

The show is a staged reading of the timeless Canadian classic Dave Cooks the Turkey interspersed with Christmas songs. The show is preceded by a turkey and roast beef buffet with all the trimmings. Drinks may be purchased, as well.

The dinner buffet starts at 7 p.m. with the show starting at around 8 p.m. Tickets are $25 per person, if purchased before 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 11, a 10 percent discount will be offered for either of the Friday, December 13 or Saturday, December 14 shows.
